Alright, let’s talk about this Tiger Woods fella and his house, or whatever it is, down in them Bahamas. I heard tell it’s some fancy place, real high-falutin’. You know, the kind of place us regular folks only see in them picture shows or on that there internet thingamajig my grandson showed me.

Now, they call it Albany, this place. Sounds like some town up north, don’t it? But no sir, it’s down in the islands, where the water’s all blue and pretty, and the sun shines all the time, or so they say. Rich folks love them sunny places, I tell ya. Me, I’m happy with a good shade tree and a glass of iced tea, but to each their own, I reckon.

  • Tiger, he didn’t build this Albany place all by his lonesome. He got some other fellas in on it with him, some golf-playing buddies and some other moneybags, I guess. They say it’s a “luxury resort community.” That’s just a fancy way of sayin’ it’s a place for rich folks to go and spend their money, if you ask me.
  • They got all sorts of things down there, I hear. Big houses, fancy boats – Tiger’s got a big boat, you know, big enough to sail all around the world, they say. He parks it down there in the Bahamas now. Guess he got tired of sailin’ it around. Rich folks, they get tired of things easy, I noticed.

This Albany place, it ain’t small neither. They say it’s 600 acres! Now, I don’t know exactly how big that is, but it sounds like a whole lotta land. Enough to grow a whole lotta corn, that’s for sure. But they ain’t growin’ corn down there, no sir. They’re growin’ money, or that’s what it seems like.

Tiger and his buddies, they opened this place back in 2010, so it’s been around a while. Guess them rich folks like it down there. I heard tell it’s got all the fixin’s a rich person could want. Fancy food, swimming pools, golf courses – of course, Tiger’s gonna have a golf course, right? He’s a golf fella, after all.

It’s on some island called New Providence. Sounds grand, don’t it? New Providence. Makes you think of a whole new beginning, a fresh start. But for them rich folks, it’s probably just another place to spend their money. They probably got old Providences all over the world, just waitin’ for ‘em.

I saw a picture of it once, this Albany place. Looked like somethin’ out of a magazine. Big houses, all white and shiny, with green lawns and blue water all around. Pretty as a picture, I gotta say. But it ain’t real life, not for folks like me. It’s a rich person’s playground, that’s what it is.

And Tiger, he’s right there in the middle of it all. He ain’t just playin’ golf, he’s in business too, seems like. Got his fingers in a lot of pies, they say. Well, good for him, I guess. He worked hard for his money, I reckon. Hit that little white ball all over the place and made a fortune doin’ it. Can’t fault a fella for that, even if he does spend it on fancy houses in the Bahamas.

Now, I don’t know if Tiger lives down there all the time, or if he just visits now and again. Probably comes and goes as he pleases. That’s what rich folks do, you know. They got houses all over the place and they just flit from one to another like butterflies. Me, I’m happy right here in my little house. It ain’t fancy, but it’s home. And that’s worth more than all the money in the world, if you ask me.

So, that’s the story on Tiger Woods and his Bahamas house, or whatever it is. A big, fancy place for rich folks to go and play. Good for them, I guess. Me, I’m gonna go sit on my porch and watch the birds. That’s my kind of luxury.

Anyway, this Albany sounds like a place outta my reach, and probably yours too. But it’s somethin’ to jaw about, ain’t it? Makes you wonder what it’s like to live like them rich folks, even just for a day. Probably got folks hand and foot, never havin’ to lift a finger. Ah well, a body can dream, can’t they?

From what I gather, Tiger and his group built this place to be a getaway for the wealthy, so it ain’t for the likes of us. It’s all about luxury and exclusivity, from what I hear. They got fancy restaurants, private beaches, all that jazz. Things most of us only see on the TV. But that Tiger, he sure knows how to make a dollar and spend it too.
