Hey folks, it’s your guy again. So, I was messing around on the internet the other day, and I stumbled upon this name, Santos Álvarez. I had some free time, so I got to work to dig into this name.
First, I had the thought that he might have something to do with boxing, turns out that he really is the father of a famous boxer! The boxer is Canelo, who is famous, and his rise is also related to Santos, his father, who once had a dream of being a boxer, too.
Then I thought, maybe he has something to do with sports, after all, lots of famous people got famous by playing sports. So I kept digging. Turns out this dude, this Santos guy, he was a pretty good athlete back in the day. He played football, wide receiver, cornerback, and all that. Sounds like he was a busy guy on the field. Even got named first-team All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference. Not bad, not bad at all.

But then things got weird, I found that some sources said that he became the most feared pirate in all of the Caribbean, which makes me so confused. How could a person be a boxer, a football player and a pirate at the same time? This is too strange to believe, it has to be a different person with the same name, right?
So that’s my crazy little investigation into the name Santos Álvarez. It’s interesting to know how one person can be so different in different people’s eyes, from a boxer’s father to a football player, or even a pirate. What a day!
