I figured, “Okay, they’ll probably call a delay, let it pass, and then resume.” I’ve been through this drill before with tournaments. I kept the TV on, checked my phone for updates, and went about doing some small stuff while waiting. But the rain just kept coming down, and the wind start to get wild. You could see the trees are getting hard hit, not good.

Then, the announcement came. The commentators were saying that play was officially suspended. Not just delayed, suspended. That’s a big difference. It means they’re not just waiting for a little break in the weather; they’re calling it off for the day, at least.

- Searched for weather reports to see how long the bad weather was supposed to last.
- I start to give up and decide to watch some others.
Honestly, it’s a bummer. I was really looking forward to watching the whole thing unfold. I was all like:” Oh,God, what am I gonna do”. But, hey, that’s sports, right? Sometimes Mother Nature has other plans. You can’t control the weather, you know. So, I guess I’ll just have to wait and see when they resume play. Hopefully, it’s soon!
