Okay, so you wanna know how to become a UFC ring girl? I tried it out, and let me tell you, it’s a wild ride. Here’s the whole messy story:

Dream Job: How to Become a UFC Ring Girl and Live the Octagon Life.

First, I figured I needed to look the part, right? So, I hit the gym. Like, really hit it. I’m talking weights, cardio, the whole nine yards. I even tried one of those weird boxing classes where you punch a bag in the dark. My arms felt like jelly afterwards, but hey, gotta start somewhere.

Getting Noticed (Or Trying To)

Next, I figured I needed some photos. I asked my friend, she’s not a professional photographer, to snap some pictures. We went to the beach. We got a bunch of shots, I selected a few of what I think is good, and I put them on Instagram. I started following a bunch of UFC-related accounts, fighters, even Dana White himself (he didn’t follow back, sadly). I even used all those hashtags like #UFC, #ringgirl, #mma, you name it.

  • Worked out like crazy to get in shape.
  • Got some “glamour” shots.
  • Spammed Instagram with my photos and hashtags.

Reaching Out (And Getting Rejected)

I thought, “Okay, time to get serious.”I tried to find contact information online, with no solid results. I sent messages to random people who I thought might be connected. I got ignored, rejected, and laughed at(some people online are mean!).

Then there was this one online casting call I found. I filled out the application, attached my best pictures, and hit “submit” with my fingers crossed. Nothing. Crickets.

Reality Check

So, after all that, did I become a UFC ring girl? Nope. Not even close. It’s way harder than it looks. I did get a little bit of a confidence and follow up boost, and that’s something, I guess. I learned that, persistence is not always the key. And that the world of UFC ring girls is a tough nut to crack.
