Hey everyone, so I was digging into something that’s been bugging me for a while now – what happened to “The Bear” on College GameDay? You know, Chris Fallica? That guy was a fixture on the show, and then poof, he was gone. So, I rolled up my sleeves and started my investigation.

What Happened to Bear on College GameDay? Find Out Why Hes Not on the Show.

First, I hit up Google. Just typed in “What happened to Bear on College GameDay?” and started sifting through the results. It didn’t take long to find out that “The Bear” is just a nickname for Chris Fallica. Who knew, right?

Then, I dug a bit deeper. I found a bunch of articles from late 2022 and early 2023. Turns out, around December 2022, there was a lot of buzz because Fallica was leaving ESPN. I scanned through a few articles, and it became pretty clear – he was jumping ship to Fox Sports. One article even mentioned that he was going to be part of Fox’s “Big Noon Kickoff.”

  • December 1, 2022: News started popping up that Fallica was leaving ESPN.
  • December 2, 2022: More articles confirmed the move, mentioning he was heading to Fox Sports, specifically to “Big Noon Kickoff.”
  • December 3, 2022: I found a piece highlighting that this was a significant move for him.
  • February 1, 2023: An article reiterated the move, solidifying that he was now with Fox Sports.
  • March 22, 2024: A more recent article gave a brief overview of his career move, which I used to piece everything together.

So, there you have it. Chris “The Bear” Fallica left ESPN’s College GameDay after almost 30 years to join Fox Sports. It was a big deal because he had won several sports Emmys and was a major part of College GameDay. I was pretty surprised, but hey, people change jobs, even after three decades. The important thing is, I finally solved the mystery!

It was a fun little research project. Sometimes you just gotta know what happened to your favorite TV personalities, right?

Hope you all found this interesting. Let me know if there’s anything else you want me to dig into!
