Alright, so I decided to finally sit down and watch the Hill vs. Riccio UFC fight. I’ve heard some chatter about it, and wanted to see for myself what went down. First thing I did was fire up my trusty old laptop.
Then, found some, ahem, “sources” to watch the replay. I mean, who wants to pay for these things every single time, right? Wink, wink.
The Watching Begins
The first few rounds, I gotta say, were pretty back and forth. Both fighters were landing some decent shots, trading blows. I remember thinking, “Okay, this is a pretty even matchup.” I was actually leaning a bit towards Hill, she seemed a bit more aggressive, maybe?
- Hill throws a jab.
- Riccio counters with a leg kick.
- They Clinch!
I grabbed some snacks, this was getting intense. I even spilled some, typical me.
But, the fight changed after a nasty eye poke… I think this really shook up Riccio.
Things Turn a Little Messy
After that, Hill just seemed to dominate. Like, Riccio looked, well, a bit lost, She seemed hestiant. I felt kinda bad for her, to be honest. I mean, eye pokes are no joke, right?
Hill just kept pouring it on. Punches, kicks, the whole nine yards. It felt like she was just a step ahead the entire time after the foul.
The rest of the fight, from my perspective, it felt like Hill was in complete control. I was just waiting for the ref to step in, it’s hard to watch some one get pummelled.
Finally, the bell rang, and it went to the judges. No surprise, Hill takes the win. Unanimous decision, I think it was. I mean, who thought other wise after seeing that beatdown?
So, yeah, that’s my take on the Hill vs. Riccio fight. A bit controversial with the eye poke, but, Hill definitely earned that victory, in my opinion.
