Alright, listen up y’all, let’s talk about this here football match, the one with New Mexico State and that Florida International bunch. I ain’t no fancy expert, but I can tell ya what’s what, plain and simple.
So, New Mexico State, they ain’t doin’ too hot, won only two games outta seven. Two and five, that’s what they say. Florida International, they ain’t much better, two wins and six losses. Two and six, see? Not a whole lotta winnin’ goin’ on with either of ’em.
Now, them bookie fellas, the ones who make the odds, they sayin’ Florida International gonna win. They’re the favorites, by like, eight and a half points. That’s a lot of points, I tell ya. Means they think Florida’s gonna beat New Mexico State by more than a touchdown and a field goal. FIU -8.5, that’s what they write down. Sounds like a big deal, but sometimes these things don’t go as planned, you know?
They also got this other number, somethin’ about the total points, 43.5 they call it. Over/under 43.5 points. That means they’re guessin’ how many points both teams gonna score together. If you think it’ll be more, you bet the over, less, you bet the under. Simple as that.
- Game’s on a Tuesday, October 29th. Who plays football on a Tuesday? Must be a special kinda game or somethin’.
- It’s a conference thing, Conference USA they call it. Guess that means it’s important for them teams.
- Florida International is playin’ at home, in Miami. That usually gives ’em a bit of an edge, folks cheerin’ and all that.
Now, this Florida team, they got some problems with their quarterback. The fella they had, Keyone Jenkins, they pulled him out last game. Sounds like he wasn’t playin’ too good. So, who knows who’s gonna be throwin’ the ball for them. That could make a big difference, see? If you ain’t got a good quarterback, it’s hard to win, just like if you ain’t got good eggs, you can’t make a good cake.
New Mexico State, they gotta travel all the way to Miami. That’s a long trip, gotta be tirin’. And they ain’t been playin’ great, so they gotta step it up if they wanna win. They gotta run the ball good, catch the ball good, and stop the other team from doin’ their thing.
So, what’s gonna happen? Well, like I said, I ain’t no expert. But if Florida can figure out their quarterback situation, and they play good at home, they should win. Eight and a half points is a lot though. New Mexico State might keep it close, or they might get blown out. That’s the thing about football, you never really know for sure. It all depends on who shows up ready to play.
